Stress Echo

A stress echo is designed to allow clinicians a better view of the patient's heart and how well it can cope when working at a increased rate, as surgery may add an increased load to the heart. The test give indications of any cardiovascular issues like heart disease or poorly functioning heart valves that the patient may have, allowing those issues to be optimised before surgery or treated when encountered during surgery.
